Job summary

Outcomes First Group's Hemlock Stone School in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, is seeking an SEN Teacher to inspire pupils with additional needs and unlock their potential. You will deliver tailored lessons, develop personalised learning plans, work with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals to help pupils build confidence and resilience.

The role is permanent, term-time only, 37.5 hours per week, starting January 2027; UK applicants only, with DBS and safeguarding

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
• Creativity, flexibility and the ability to adapt teaching to individual learning styles.
• Patience, resilience and a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
• A commitment to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
• Experience within SEN, Autism, SEMH or specialist education is desirable but not essential.
• Experience or qualifications in IT or Music would be advantageous.

About Us

Hemlock Stone School in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire opened in March 2026, and caters for up to 66 pupils, providing a specialist learning environment for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Complex Needs.

For over 19 years, Options Autism has provided specialist care and education for children, young people, and adults with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
