Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics is seeking an Electrical & PLC Engineer – Tunneling to join the Civil Works Alliance supporting Sizewell C. You will design and oversee electrical systems for tunneling, TBM establishment and power distribution, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality delivery on a landmark low-carbon project.

The role requires a degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, ECS card and 17th/18th Edition, plus proven TBM experience, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with relevant professional experience.
• Essential ECS card and 17th or 18th Edition qualification.
• Experience in major construction, infrastructure or tunneling environments.
• Experience with TBMs electrical establishment, power distribution and auxiliary systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems and fault-finding.
• Ability to produce clear technical drawings, specifications and testing plans.

Responsibilities

• Support design, implementation and oversight of electrical systems for tunneling and marine works.
• Lead electrical aspects of TBM establishment, including power supplies and control panels.
• Develop power requirements and distribution for TBMs and related plant.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements and permit applications.
• Review subcontractor designs and coordinate with project teams for safe electrical works.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation, commissioning and fault-finding.
