Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is seeking an Electrical Tunnel Engineer for Sizewell C. Based on the project office with regular site visits, you will support design, testing, commissioning and TBM electrical setup across the marine and tunnel phase.

You will work under the CWA and report to the site electrical manager, ensuring compliance with safety standards and coordinating with multiple teams to deliver critical power, control panels, and auxiliary systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electrical /electronic engineering
• ECS Card
• 17th/18th Edition Qualification
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems
• Experience with TBMs is Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for the team.
• Design, develop and maintain thorough testing regime for systems on site.
• Overseeing all electrical aspects and establishment of the TBM, including power supply, control panels, and auxiliary systems.
• Hands‑on experience setting up Power transformers, Supplies for HV/LT for the TBMs, coordinating the Electrical establishment setup at site.
• TBM Power requirements, LT/HV Cabling scheme for TBM, and related power consumption calculations.
• Assist technically with installation and commissioning of systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering problems and equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes/standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other teams on the project and co-ordinate works.
• Write risk and method statements; Completing permit applications.
• Support and review subcontractors design and implementation planning.
