Job summary

EDF is hiring an Electrical Tunnel Engineer for Sizewell C to provide electrical engineering expertise across the marine and tunnel phase. The role supports design, implementation, and oversight of electrical systems, reporting to the CWA electrical manager, based at the Orwell office with regular site visits.

Responsibilities include drawings, testing regimes, TBM power setup, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent in electrical /electronic engineering.
ECS Card.
17th/18th Edition Qualification.
Experience with TBMs is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for the team.
Design, develop and maintain testing regime for systems on site.
Overseeing all electrical aspects and establishment of the TBM, including power supply, control panels, and auxiliary systems.
Transformers, grids, power supply units,
Conduct calculations/simulations to support design decisions.
Assist technically with installation and commissioning of systems.
Diagnose and resolve electrical engineering problems and equipment breakdowns.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes/standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with other teams on the project and co-ordinate works.
Write risk and method statements
Completing permit applications
Support and review subcontractors design and implementation planning.
