A leading financial services firm based in Hamilton, Scotland, is seeking experienced tax professionals to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to manage U.S. tax compliance and consulting for clients in the asset management sector. Ideal candidates will have substantial experience with U.S. federal income tax and cross-border issues, along with CPA qualifications. We are seeking experienced tax professionals from Associate all the way up to Manager Senior Manager or Director level to join our big 4 clients growing Tax team serving clients in the asset management and broader financial services sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading hedge funds private equity firms venture capital groups and alternative asset managers and insurance in a dynamic international environment. You will advise clients on U.S. and international tax matters support compliance efforts and provide insight on structuring transactions and regulatory reporting.
Manage U.S. tax compliance and consulting engagements for partnerships corporations and other entities in the asset management industry.
FATCA and CRS-related reporting
Analyze and apply U.S. Subchapter K (Partnership Tax) Subchapter C (Corporate Tax) PFIC and CFC rules
Assist clients with tax structuring and cross-border planning including inbound and outbound investment strategies
Prepare and review tax workpapers allocations M-1 adjustments and tax basis schedules
Advise on fund formation investment structuring and exit planning
Liaise with clients legal counsel auditors and tax authorities as needed
Supervise and mentor junior staff and manage project timelines and deliverables
Monitor and interpret changes in U.S. tax legislation relevant to asset managers operating offshore
Relocation support including accommodation transportation and flights for the candidate and their family.
