Job summary

Autograph Recruitment Ltd is helping a leading Exeter accountancy practice recruit a Tax Senior to join its growing tax compliance team in Exeter. The role involves handling a diverse client portfolio, with exposure to advisory work and opportunities for progression.

The position is ATT/CTA flexible, with hybrid working and a strong emphasis on quality and deadlines. Competitive salary based on experience and regular salary reviews are on offer.

Qualifications

• ATT qualified, CTA or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge across a broad range of taxes.
• Excellent knowledge of tax and compliance returns.
• Good report-writing skills and the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly.
• Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of tax compliance services in line with relevant laws and regulations.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
• Assist with tax advisory work and develop knowledge across specialist areas.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to Partners, Directors and Managers.
• Manage workloads effectively, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
