Job summary

Autograph Specialist Recruitment Limited is assisting a leading South West accountancy practice in Exeter to recruit a Tax Senior. The role focuses on tax compliance, returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships, plus involvement in advisory work within a supportive, forward-thinking firm.

The ideal candidate will have ATT (or CTA); part-qualified or experienced professionals are welcome. Hybrid and flexible working is offered, with career progression opportunities and training support.

Qualifications

• A few years' tax experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience in tax compliance.
• ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical tax knowledge across a broad range of taxes.
• Excellent knowledge of tax and compliance returns.
• Good report-writing and clear communication of tax matters.
• Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Organised, adaptable and able to prioritise workloads.
• A positive, professional and approachable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of tax compliance services in line with laws and regulations.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts and partnerships.
• Assist with tax advisory work and develop knowledge across specialist areas.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide general administrative support to Partners, Directors and Managers.
• Manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
