Trial Balance, Exeter, is seeking a Tax Senior to join our established tax team. You will handle the end-to-end tax return process, provide tax planning input, and support junior staff in a busy practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Chasing outstanding tax return information
• Completion of tax returns
• Reviewing tax returns
• Suggesting tax planning ideas on reviewing returns
• Reporting as necessary for the time of year and coordinating with managers/directors
• Assist with P11d preparation and completion
• Offer training and support to tax assistants/other staff
• Assist with Probate tax administration
• Deal with CGT 60-day reporting

Trial Balance are working with a leading accountancy practice, with multiple offices in the region, in their search for a Tax Senior to join their Exeter team on a full-time and permanent basis.

Joining a dynamic and successful tax team, your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Chasing of outstanding tax return information
• Completion of tax returns
• Reviewing tax returns
• Suggesting tax planning ideas on reviewing returns
• Report as necessary for the time of year and chasing managers and directors where appropriate.
• Assist with P11d preparation and completion
• Offer help, support and training to the tax assistants/other support staff as and when required.
• Assist with Probate tax administration.
• Deal with CGT 60-day reporting.

This role would be an ideal fit for a qualified ATT candidate, though consideration will also be given to active ATT studiers and highly experienced non-qualified candidates. An extensive background within a tax function in a practice is essential, and applicants should also have a strong technical tax background.
