Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Tax Manager for their Exeter office with hybrid working options. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of personal and business tax work across compliance and advisory assignments.

The successful candidate will manage client portfolios, review complex returns, provide planning advice and support junior colleagues. ATT and/or CTA qualifications are preferred, with experience in an accountancy practice environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in tax compliance and advisory work within a practice environment.
• Ability to review complex tax computations and provide clear advice to clients.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage multiple client matters.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of tax clients and acting as a key contact for compliance and advisory matters.
• Delivering personal and business tax compliance work accurately and on time within budget.
• Reviewing tax returns and complex computations and providing practical tax planning advice.
• Supporting clients with specialist matters including trusts and probate where relevant.
• Mentoring junior team members and assisting with process development within Exeter office.
• Collaborating with Partners and senior colleagues to drive growth and performance of the tax function.
