Tax Senior

Are you an experienced corporation tax specialist looking to take the lead on a diverse portfolio in a collaborative, growing practice?

A well-established and highly respected accountancy firm based in Halesowen is seeking a capable and confident Corporation Tax Senior or Manager to join its expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a significant portfolio of corporate clients, ensure high-quality compliance delivery, and act as a key point of contact across departments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing tax compliance work, be technically strong, and enjoy building client relationships in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Role Responsibilities

Take full responsibility for a large and varied portfolio of corporate tax compliance clients across multiple industries
Review corporation tax computations and returns, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission
Liaise directly with clients, maintaining long-term relationships and acting as a trusted adviser
Resolve technical queries and ensure professional standards are upheld across all work
Collaborate with Audit, Accounts, and Personal Tax teams to ensure integrated and consistent service delivery
Monitor and manage tax deadlines, ensuring clients are fully compliant with HMRC filing and payment requirements
Remain informed of developments in corporate tax legislation and proactively apply this knowledge to client situations
Assist with introductory client queries, ad hoc advice, and technical support to junior staff
Prepare disengagement letters and support broader tax practice operations as needed

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

ATT qualified (or equivalent) with at least two years of corporation tax experience in an accountancy practice
Currently studying for CTA, or planning to—CTA qualified candidates are highly desirable
Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation
Experience managing compliance portfolios and confidently meeting HMRC deadlines
Working knowledge of IRIS software or similar tax compliance platforms
Confident handling HMRC queries and correspondence
Exposure to a wide range of business sectors and corporate structures

Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Effective time management and organisational skills
