A prominent chartered accountancy and taxation firm in with offices in Liverpool and Manchester, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Director to lead their corporate tax division across both sites. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a wide range of clients and drive the growth of the firms corporate tax services.
As the Tax Director, you will carry out the following duties:
- Lead and manage the corporate tax team, ensuring excellent service delivery to a diverse client base.
- Liaise with Practice Partner on Tax advisory services and clients
- Develop and implement strategic tax initiatives that align with clients' business goals.
- Provide expert advice on complex tax matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and international tax issues.
- Oversee the preparation and review of corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax regulations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming their trusted advisor on all corporate tax matters.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and growth.
- Stay up to date with tax legislation and industry trends to offer clients informed and up-to-date advice.
- Type of work handled will be Reorganisation, stamp duty, mergers and acquisitions, MNA, Family investment companies, and overseas investments and commercial relocation.
The Tax Director will have the following skills and experience:- CTA qualified with extensive experience in corporate tax.
- Minimum of 3 years Tax accountancy specialism in a UK accountancy practice.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong technical expertise in tax advisory, compliance, and corporate tax strategy with outstanding commercial acumen and a solid grasp of business aims and objectives.
- Previous experience of working with clients in the agricultural sector preferred.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
