Job description

We have partnered with a market-leading multi-£Bn company based in Manchester to appoint their new Group Tax Director.

This high-profile role will involve leading and overseeing all aspects of the global tax function, developing and implementing tax strategies, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and driving efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, providing insights into the tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in shaping and leading group tax strategies across UK and international operations. Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing tax matters across international regions (e.g., APAC, EMEA, North America) with at least 10 years’ experience in tax management.
2. Possessing strong technical knowledge of UK and international direct tax, as well as indirect and employment tax matters.
3. Leading and developing the tax team to align with company goals.
4. Being a trained and qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA and/or CTA).
5. Experience in companies with multi-billion revenue is highly advantageous.
