Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant in Sheffield to join our growing tax team. You will report to the Head of Tax and manage UK corporation tax, VAT, and related EU taxes while ensuring accurate tax reporting and timely filings.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or tax professional (ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA) or close to completing exams.
• Previous tax compliance experience, including UK corporation tax.
• Working knowledge of current and deferred tax provisioning.
• Able to produce well-documented first drafts and flag judgement points before review.
• Good Excel skills and comfort with financial data from accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporation tax computations.
• Compile the tax provision reporting pack, setting out key judgement points.
• Review the Group’s quarterly UK VAT returns.
• Coordinate EU VAT and corporation tax returns.
• Liaise with EU tax agents as key point of contact.
• Track EU and Group filing deadlines, and raising any risk to the Head of Tax.
