Job summary

Saffery LLP is seeking a corporate tax professional to join the Corporate Tax team in Leeds. You will manage a diverse client portfolio delivering both corporate tax compliance and advisory services, with exposure to UK and international clients.

The role requires strong UK tax technical skills, 1–2 years post-qualification experience (ACA/ACCA/CTA), and the ability to manage deadlines and client relationships in a busy, client-facing environment. A hybrid working pattern is available.

• Strong UK corporate tax technical knowledge and ability to analyse tax queries.
• Project management skills with ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex tax concepts.
• Clear client focus and ability to build strong relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams; coaching and mentoring others.
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in new areas of tax.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of corporation tax computations.
• Managing milestones, return and payment deadlines.
• Corresponding with clients and HMRC on tax issues.
• Supporting Partners and Managers on advisory assignments and planning projects (incl. international tax).
• Advising on technical areas such as capital allowances, R&D relief, TP, CT reforms.
• Providing support for stand-alone tax advisory projects (acquisitions, disposals, due diligence).
