Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Targeted Youth Support Worker to join the Family Help provision in Bolton. You will manage caseloads of children and young people, conducting holistic early help assessments and building strength-based plans with families to effect positive change.

You will deliver one-to-one interventions and group work in community and home settings, including evenings and Saturdays, and work with partners to ensure safeguarding and effective support.

Qualifications

• Essential JNC level 3 qualification or above in youth work practice.
• Full driving licence required.
• DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of children and young people and lead holistic early help assessments.
• Develop clear, effective plans with families to support positive changes.
• Deliver one-to-one support to children, young people and families in various settings.
• Deliver targeted group work programmes, including evenings and Saturdays.
• Be flexible; discuss options for flexible working.
