Job summary

Pretty Decent Beer Co. is seeking a high-energy General Manager for its London taproom at Blackhorse Lane. You will lead day-to-day operations, drive sales, manage the P&L, and maintain a standout customer experience in a busy, community-focused space.

The role requires 40 hours per week (including evenings and weekends) with a culture of hands-on leadership and a strong emphasis on staff development and brand values.

Qualifications

• Experience in General Management within hospitality.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead from the front and drive team energy.
• Experience managing a P&L, including labour control and cost management.
• Commitment to Represent Pretty Decent Beer Co and ethos.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial performance and sales in the taproom.
• Take ownership of the venue P&L balancing labour costs and sales.
• Work to budgeted figures including wages and stock.
• Develop drink menus and promotions with the Operations Manager.
• Recruit, train and develop team across service and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation to reflect brand standards.
• Set energy and culture for the taproom and plan rotas within budget.
• Hands-on leadership to support service during busy periods.
• Ensure service reflects Pretty Decent values.
• Oversee events, community engagement and growth initiatives.
