Job summary

Brew York is seeking a dedicated General Manager for The Market Tap in Pocklington to lead daily operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, and service standards while coordinating with kitchen and bar teams to deliver a seamless guest experience.

The role requires hospitality management experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to health and safety, training, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in management in hospitality or similar position.
• Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes.
• Customer service experience.
• Good math skills with the ability to create and analyse reports, spreadsheets and sales statistics.
• Leadership and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resourcing and staff scheduling.
• Plan and implement customer attraction strategies.
• Supervise shifts to ensure high service quality.
• Monitor performance against weekly and monthly objectives.
• Manage stock usage under guidance of Operations Manager.
• Coach and support staff and conduct training as needed.
• Monitor costs, budgets and resources for the venue.
• Coordinate events and liaise with in-house vendor teams.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and licensing laws.
