Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting Tank Operatives with FLT for temporary roles at a site in Leicestershire (STONEY STANTON, LE9 4JJ). The position pays £14.50 per hour for a 40-hour week, with shifts 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday, minus a 30-minute unpaid break.

It is a fixed-term contract from 26 October 2026 to 29 January 2027, with potential extension after review. Candidates must hold a valid FLT counterbalance licence and have experience in production, manufacturing, construction or similar

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Contribute to safe and compliant tank movements within the Tank Section yard.
• Move LPG vessels safely, loading and unloading as required in line with procedures.
• Operate machinery safely according to Work Instructions and manufacturer guidance.

Tank Operatives with FLT – Immediate Starts Available

Tank Operatives with FLT are required for temporary positions in Leicestershire, working at a client site in Stoney Stanton (LE9 4JJ).

The role offers up to £14.50 per hour for a 40-hour week, with shifts running 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, minus a 30-minute unpaid break.

This fixed-term contract runs from 26 October 2026 to 29 January 2027, with potential for extension following review.

Candidates must hold a valid FLT counterbalance licence, and experience in production, manufacturing, construction or similar environments is expected.

Duties involve tank operation and forklift work.

Expectations of the role

• Successful candidates will require a FLT Counterbalance licence
• Experience in production, manufacturing, construction, or labouring highly beneficial
• Manual handling and movement of gas tanks

• Attention to detail and ability to follow strict control and quality procedures

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safety first operation and drive towards a compliant and incident free workplace.
• Complete all tank movements within the Tank Section yard, ensuring all movements adhere to the local site transport rules and traffic management plans.
• Responsible for the safe movement, loading, and unloading of LPG vessels across the yard, in compliance with safety regulations, ensuring daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Operating all machinery in a safe manner, in line with manufacturer''s instructions and Work Instructions.
• Perform tank segregation and manage general tank storage within the yard.
• Gas-charge new LPG vessels in accordance with approved procedures.
• Capture, record, and track serial numbers of all LPG vessels entering and leaving the yard.
• Manage inbound and outbound trailers, directing vehicles to designated parking bays.
• Complete full trailer load inspections, to ensure tank quality and that loads are safe and comply with all company policies and most up to date legislation.
