Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting for a Tank Operative with FLT at Stoney Stanton. The role is temporary, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30. Pay is £14.50 per hour, with a fixed term from 26/10/2026 to 29/01/2027 and potential extension after review.

On-site parking, PPE provided, and training available through MyPath accompany this position. You're expected to handle LPG vessels, assist with tank movements, and operate yard machinery safely.

Qualifications

• FLT Counterbalance licence is required.
• Experience in production/manufacturing or labouring is beneficial.
• Manual handling and movement of LPG vessels; safe working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Move and load/unload LPG vessels in yard following safety rules and site transport plans.
• Operate yard machinery safely as instructed.
• Record serial numbers of LPG vessels entering/leaving the yard and manage trailer movements to parking bays.
• Perform tank segregation and ensure loads meet safety and company standards.

We have new opportunities to join our client's team at Stoney Stanton.**Location: STONEY STANTON, LE9 4JJ****Shifts** 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday, (minus 30 minutes unpaid break)**Competitive Pay:** Earn £14.50 per hour, 40 hours per week,**Fixed Term:** 26/10/26 - 29/01/27 with potential for extension after review.**Perks:** Free on-site parking, provided PPE, comprehensive training.**Career Development:** Access to Manpower 'MyPath' for online courses.**Expectations of the role*** Successful candidates will require a FLT Counterbalance licence* Experience in production, manufacturing, construction, or labouring highly beneficial* Manual handling and movement of gas tanks* Working outdoors in all weathers - resilience is key* Physical work load* Attention to detail and ability to follow strict control and quality procedures**Responsibilities*** Contribute to a safety first operation and drive towards a compliant and incident free workplace.* Complete all tank movements within the Tank Section yard, ensuring all movements adhere to the local site transport rules and traffic management plans.* Responsible for the safe movement, loading, and unloading of LPG vessels across the yard, in compliance with safety regulations, ensuring daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently with an emphasis on continuous improvement.* Operating all machinery in a safe manner, in line with manufacturer's instructions and Work Instructions* Perform tank segregation and manage general tank storage within the yard.* Gas-charge new LPG vessels in accordance with approved procedures.* Capture, record, and track serial numbers of all LPG vessels entering and leaving the yard.* Manage inbound and outbound trailers, directing vehicles to designated parking bays* Complete full trailer load inspections, to ensure tank quality and that loads are safe and comply with all company policies and most up to date legislation**Details*** An eye for detail as accuracy is key.* High level of concern for safety always.* Ability to read and follow instructions as well as take instructions from site leaders.* Work as part of a team as well as independently as required.* Successful candidates require a DBS check.* If you are interested, CLICK APPLY !!
