A Bit About The Role

As the Talent & Learning Lead, you will be responsible for the core learning offer at Selfridges, leading a team to shape and continuously evolve an engaging and value-driving offer that enables the Selfridges’ strategy. You will report to the Director of People and Communications, whilst collaborating with the rest of the HR Leadership team and other business leaders to successfully deliver in your role.

A Bit About The Role

As the Talent & Learning Lead, you will be responsible for the core learning offer at Selfridges, leading a team to shape and continuously evolve an engaging and value-driving offer that enables the Selfridges’ strategy. You will report to the Director of People and Communications, whilst collaborating with the rest of the HR Leadership team and other business leaders to successfully deliver in your role.

This role is a 12-month contract.

As a Talent & Learning Lead You Will

  • Lead our Talent & Performance Cycle processes including performance management, talent review and targeted talent development planning that supports internal progression and succession.
  • Own the core talent & learning strategy, delivering a business relevant and team member centric learning offer that supports all levels of team members to realise their potential at Selfridges
  • Lead a team to design, develop and deliver learning experiences across:
  • Core behaviours
  • Leadership, Management & team development
  • Targeted talent development initiatives
  • Compliance
  • Sustainability, DE&I and well-being
  • Lead a team to design, develop and deliver an offer through a variety of learning styles, including e-learning, webinars and face-to-face
  • Deliver outcomes utilising a blend of internal capability and third-party partners
  • Lead our apprenticeships strategy and execution
  • Lead our digital learning strategy and capability development
  • Oversee our LMS My Workday Learning and additional learning & talent functions
  • Ensure that learning programmes are aligned to our evolving talent management framework and processes
  • Build and maintain our approach to professional qualifications, coaching and team development

  • Collaborative, with a proven ability to build effective relationships and influence at all levels
  • Knowledgeable, with an in-depth understanding of Leadership, Talent and Behavioural learning
  • Customer-focused, putting your customers at the heart of everything you do and making data driven decisions to achieve our strategic goals
  • Naturally pragmatic and solutions orientated. You are calm under pressure and can break down complex problems and provide innovative solutions
  • A natural leader, coaching team members to drive performance & enable change as well as supporting development
  • Experienced in project/programme-based role and have management experience
