We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Southern Water!

We are now recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to be based in our Customer Solutions Centre in Durrington.

We operate 24/7; therefore, you are required to work flexible hours, including weekends, and participate in an on-call rota. Reporting to the Head of People, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will design, develop, and deliver strategic recruitment aligned with the Southern Water contract, ensuring business needs are met and company policies are followed. The role involves full 360 recruitment for the Waste Network contract and maintaining a talent pool for succession planning.

Position Details
  • Location: Customer Solutions Centre, Durrington (Worthing, West Sussex). This role is office-based only. Travel to depots in Tonbridge, Millbrook, Fairlee, and Crawley may be required.
  • Training: Travel to Slough for approximately three days a week for up to three months (expenses paid).
  • Job Type: Permanent, full-time
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours (start times to be discussed)
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About The Role

Due to growth, we seek customer-focused individuals to join our Utility Division, working on the Southern Water contract to provide effective recruitment solutions.

  • Arrange and conduct interviews and assessment centers.
  • Confirm candidate attendance and reschedule if needed.
  • Post and amend job adverts, including description updates and headcount changes.
  • Search job boards for potential candidates.
  • Verify applicant eligibility and driver checks before offers.
  • Prepare induction paperwork and references.
  • Maintain recruitment documentation, including GDPR consents and interview notes.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Build talent pools in partnership with Southern Water.
  • Collaborate on campaigns to attract applicants.
  • Attend manager meetings to understand recruitment needs.
  • Manage and update recruitment systems and data reports.
  • Train managers and staff on interview processes.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide insights.
  • Stay updated on UK employment law, best practices, and market trends.
  • Act as the main contact for recruitment issues across the network.
  • Respond to recruitment queries daily.
  • Adhere to company policies and promote our values and culture.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects as requested by leadership.

About You

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience as a talent acquisition specialist, recruitment consultant, or similar role is essential.
  • Experience in the drainage, utilities, or retail industry is beneficial.
  • A full UK driver’s license is required.
