Veolia is seeking a Recruitment Professional for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover based in Cannock. Working 32 hours across 4 days with hybrid arrangements, you will lead end-to-end recruitment across operations and engineering roles.

Qualifications

• Previous recruitment experience in agency or in-house environments.
• Recruited for operational, engineering or industrial roles.
• Experience in high-volume recruitment with ability to manage multiple vacancies.
• Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with hiring managers and business partners.
• Proficient in candidate sourcing and headhunting on social platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, CV Library).
• Experience with applicant tracking systems; Workday knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment from job posting to offer, collaborating with hiring managers and stakeholders.
• Screen applications and short-list candidates while maintaining excellent candidate communications.
• Utilise Workday to progress recruitment activity and track key hiring metrics.
• Build and maintain talent pools for future needs and headhunt for hard-to-fill roles.
• Provide consultative interview guidance to managers for effective decisions.
• Support continuous improvement projects within Talent Acquisition.

Hours: 32 Hours Per Week Across 4 days (Flexible on none working day)

Salary: Up to £24,000

Grade: 4.3

Location: Based in Cannock (WS11 8JP) with a hybrid working arrangement

What you'll be doing:

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process from job posting to offer, collaborating closely with hiring managers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver quality candidates
• Screen applications and create shortlists of qualified candidates, while maintaining excellent candidate communications throughout to ensure a positive recruitment experience
• Utilise and maintain the applicant tracking system (Workday) to progress recruitment activity and track key hiring metrics including time to hire, cost per hire and source of hire
• Build and maintain talent pools for future requirements, proactively headhunting candidates through social platforms for hard-to-fill positions
• Provide consultative advice to hiring managers on best practice interviewing techniques and assessment methods to support effective decision-making
• Host and participate in job fairs and support continuous improvement projects within the Talent Acquisition team to enhance recruitment processes and outcomes

What we're looking for:

• Previous recruitment experience in either agency or in-house environments, with preference for candidates who have recruited for operational, engineering or industrial roles
• Demonstrated experience in high-volume recruitment environments with the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships with hiring managers and business partners

• Proficiency in candidate sourcing and headhunting techniques across social platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed and CV Library.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems, with Workday knowledge being advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaborative working skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
