Job summary

Johnson's Dry Cleaners, part of the Timpson Group, in Harrogate, is seeking a skilled tailor. You will perform alterations and repairs, serve customers, and support the Area Manager across branches with a high standard of workmanship.

The role requires proficiency in sewing, fabric knowledge, and strong customer service. 40 hours a week across five days, including weekends, with overtime potential and a uncapped weekly bonus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in sewing and tailoring techniques.
• Knowledge of various fabrics and garment construction.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Attention to detail for precise alterations.
• Effective time management and ability to work across branches.
• Previous work in retail or alteration environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out alterations and repairs on garments, including shortening/lengthening and taking in/out to adjust size.
• Replace broken zippers and handle other repairs/alterations as needed.
• Assist customers in-branch and discuss fitting needs.
