Job summary

AECOM is seeking talented engineers to join our Transmission and Distribution (T&D) team in the UK & Ireland. This hybrid, full-time role is based in London (Aldgate Tower) with a focus on HV power systems, cabling, substations, and grid modernisation as part of the energy transition.

You will work with our multinational experts on projects from concept to delivery, applying BS/Eurocode design standards and communicating with clients, stakeholders and contractors.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic/power engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in transmission and distribution design consultancy.
• Working knowledge of BS and Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively to clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support design consultancy for T&D projects from concept through delivery.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to discuss technical issues and capture feedback.
• Contribute to grid modernisation and energy transition initiatives with the T&D team.
