Job summary

AECOM is seeking talented Transmission & Distribution engineers to join our UK & Ireland teams. You will work on a range of projects from concept to design, including HV power systems, cabling, substations and grid modernisation, contributing to the energy transition.

The role offers hybrid working, collaboration with diverse professionals, and opportunities to influence national grid initiatives such as Great Grid Programme while delivering sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic/power engineering qualification (HNC/HND/BSc/BEng/MSc/MEng)
• Experience in electrical engineering design consultancy on transmission & distribution projects
• Working knowledge of BS and Eurocodes for relevant engineering design standards
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Support HV power systems analysis and design from concept through to implementation
• Work on cabling, substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure
• Apply BS/Eurocodes and contribute to client communications with stakeholders
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on energy transition projects
