Job summary

Cheshire East Council in Macclesfield is seeking a Systems Support Officer to join our Development Management team. You will provide systems support for the Planning Service, taking ownership of issues from initial identification through to successful resolution and working closely with Officers, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to ensure timely fixes.

We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a Systems Support Officer in our well-established Development Management team at Cheshire East. In this role, you will provide systems support for the Planning Service, taking ownership of issues from initial identification and investigation through to successful resolution. If you enjoy working collaboratively, have strong problem-solving skills, and take pride in delivering excellent support, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Systems Support Officer to join our well-established Development Management team at Cheshire East. This role involves providing systems support for the Planning Service, helping to ensure the effective operation, configuration, maintenance and continuous improvement of our business systems. Acting as the first point of contact for system-related queries and issues, you will investigate problems, identify solutions and work closely with Officers, ICT colleagues and software suppliers to achieve timely resolutions.

You will be committed to delivering an excellent service and improving the user experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes a proactive approach to finding solutions, and is motivated by making a positive difference through continuous improvement.
