Job summary

Lorien is recruiting a Systems Engineer for a 12 month contract based in Bristol Filton, onsite. The role focuses on performance modelling and analysis of complex, mission-critical systems using MATLAB and Simulink. Inside IR35, £85 per hour and a tightly regulated engineering environment.

You will develop, analyse and improve system performance models, supporting technical decisions across the product lifecycle and collaborating with systems, software and hardware teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing models using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Background in systems engineering, modelling, simulation or performance analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work within a highly regulated engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain performance models using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Conduct system-level modelling, simulation and analysis activities.
• Analyse system behaviour and performance against customer requirements.
• Support design reviews and provide evidence-based recommendations.
• Work closely with systems, software and hardware engineering teams.
• Produce technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Support verification, validation and acceptance activities.
• Contribute to the development of modelling techniques and engineering best practice.
