Job summary

NHS Trust in London is seeking a Systems Engineer to support BAU and major projects during a period of staff shortages. The role combines incident management with project work, and the postholder will act as the lead technical specialist within their area of expertise.

You will configure, manage and troubleshoot VMware environments, support VCF 9 deployments, and administer Nutanix infrastructure. The role is hybrid and initially for 5 months, paying £370-390pd inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware and VCF 9.
• Practical experience with Nutanix and hyperconverged infrastructure.
• Knowledge of virtualisation, storage and infrastructure networking.
• Experience in infrastructure troubleshooting, upgrades and resilience management.

Responsibilities

An NHS Trust are seeking a Systems Engineer to help the team during a period of staff shortages but also take on some major project work on behalf of the team for 5 months initially. The role is paying £370-390pd (inside IR35) on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the Role:

This role combines BAU and project work, providing third-line IT support to internal and external customers. The postholder will manage and own incidents through to successful resolution, ensuring timely service delivery. They will work independently towards agreed objectives, manage their own workload and act as the lead technical specialist within their area of expertise.
