Systems and User Support Administrative Assistant

Role Overview

The Systems & User Support Administrative Assistant is vital in supporting the Medicine programme, serving approximately 2,600 students. The role involves managing the 1Med system, a key virtual learning environment (VLE) used by students, staff, and clinical tutors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure system availability, manage user accounts, and support users through training and assistance.
  • Handle system issues, document requests, and escalate problems when necessary.
  • Assist in producing and updating system documentation and content.
  • Collaborate with university and NHS colleagues to improve and implement system enhancements.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience in client support or helpdesk roles, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with IT systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and committed to the university's values of diversity, sustainability, and social responsibility.
