Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator with a strong foundation in networking, clustering, and virtual machine management. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to interpret and collaborate on development projects utilizing frameworks such as Express and React, as well as other development libraries.

Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain reliable systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. Manage and monitor virtualization platforms, with a focus on Proxmox and other VM software. Configure and maintain clustering solutions to ensure high availability and scalability.
  • Networking: Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including LAN/WAN configurations, routing, and firewalls on a bare-metal environment. Implement and manage network security protocols to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches. Monitor and optimize network performance.
  • Development Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and assist with deployment processes. Interpret and troubleshoot projects written in Express, React, and related development libraries. Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • System Security: Ensure systems and networks comply with security best practices and standards. Perform regular audits, updates, and patching to maintain system integrity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, configurations, and processes. Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on system performance and reliability.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls. Proficiency with virtualization technologies, especially Proxmox. Experience with clustering and high-availability solutions. Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python). Ability to interpret and troubleshoot projects built with Express, React, and other JavaScript frameworks/libraries. Knowledge of CI/CD processes and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
