We are seeking a Senior System Operations & System Administrator for a remote role with our client. Join us to create innovative solutions that have a significant business impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain hosting infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of web services.
  • Optimize configurations for stability, speed, and manageability.
  • Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Enhance security measures and implement best practices.
  • Research, design, and develop new approaches to improve infrastructure.
  • Document research findings and share knowledge across teams.
  • Contribute to building new hosting infrastructure for upcoming products.
  • Engage in process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Senior System Administrator.
  • Previous experience in a web/cloud hosting company.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef) and Virtualization / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions like Nagios, Prometheus, ELK Stack, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including server and application security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and security audits.
  • Experience with cPanel and Plesk shared hosting administration.
  • Networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSH, FTP, and network security.
  • Database management experience, preferably with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Scripting and automation skills in Bash and Python.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup solutions experience.
  • Proficiency in English for technical reading and team communication.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently from home with a proactive attitude.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with CloudLinux OS (LVE, CageFS, PHP Selector).
  • Proficiency with Cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Additional programming language skills.
