Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited seeks a System Safety and Environmental Engineering Manager to develop and execute safety frameworks for aircraft products and services. You will lead a team, forecast resources and budgets, and collaborate with UK MOD and Boeing stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

The role involves engagement with international partners, significant travel, and leadership of safety and environmental assessments for complex systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop and execute project and process plans and set operational goals.
• Experience in resource acquisition, supplier management and process improvement.
• Strong relationship-building with customers, partners, peers and direct reports.
• Experience in motivating and developing team members.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental management systems in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute frameworks for safety management of products, systems and services.
• Support programmes with safety and environmental engineering expertise.
• Plan and forecast resource requirements and budgets.
• Lead continuous improvement and develop a diverse, capable team.
• Oversee recruitment, early career development and performance management.
• Engage with UK MOD and Boeing stakeholders and manage travel requirements.
