Job description

HAYLEY DEXIS are looking for a System Pricing Specialist to join our well-established and expanding Data team based at our headquarters in Halesowen.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and business-savvy System Pricing Specialist to oversee the design, implementation, and governance of pricing data structures as part of a major ERP transformation programme. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that both input and output pricing mechanisms are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs across purchasing, sales, finance, and operations.

This is a hands-on, cross-functional role requiring strong experience in ERP pricing configuration, data governance, and pricing lifecycle management. The role will sit within our existing data team, but will work closely with our group pricing department. Prior experience with Infor M3 is highly desirable, particularly in the sales and pricing modules, although deep ERP pricing expertise in other cloud platforms will be considered.

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, working 40 hours per week

Key responsibilities as our System Pricing Specialist:

• Pricing design & architecture. Define pricing hierarchies and configuration logic that is aligned with business rules. Translate legacy pricing strategies into future-state ERP structures.
• Configuration & implementation. Lead the setup of pricing and discount structures in the ERP system. Collaborate with data and functional migration teams to transform and load pricing records accurately.
• Governance & data quality. Define ownership, control mechanisms, and validation processes for pricing data. Develop standards, naming conventions, and change approval workflows.
• Cross-functional engagement. Act as the system-pricing subject matter expert for stakeholders across purchasing, sales, and other operational areas. Work closely with solution architects and ERP consultants to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
• Testing & validation. Lead end-to-end testing of pricing logic within purchase and sales orders, quotations, and invoices. Build simulation tools or test scripts to validate pricing models against business expectations.
• Documentation & training. Develop standard operating procedures and training materials for internal teams. Conduct workshops and support enablement of data stewards and business users.

Skills we're looking for in our System Pricing Specialist:

• 8+ years in a pricing data ERP environment, with cumulative experience in system configuration and program maintenance, commercial application, data processing and analytics.
• Hands-on experience in the configuration and maintenance of pricing data in Infor M3 or equivalent platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong understanding of ERP pricing structures, including price lists, customer-specific pricing, discount matrices, and pricing priorities.
• Proven track record of migrating complex pricing data and ensuring integrity during ERP transitions.
• Strong analytical background with a good understanding of the commercial impact of pricing.
• Proficiency with data tools such as Excel and SQL; experience with integration tools (e.g., APIs, ETL, ION) is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and the ability to work across technical and business domains.
• Familiarity with data governance principles and change control processes.
