Qualifications include 2+ years with a bachelor's or higher, or equivalent experience; AD, patching, and networking fundamentals are important. The role involves travel to client sites and flexible shifts.

We are seeking a System Administrator 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of SES Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do: In this role you will be working as part of the Programming, Commissioning and Deployment (PCD) team to configure and maintain Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM and other electronic security systems as your primary duty. This team is part of an overall program of regional and international teams embedded at our client, regularly undertaking in intra-team initiatives, team-based and individually-led training and career development. The position provides occasionally Tier 1 helpdesk support for the previously mentioned systems.

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Install, configure and troublshoot CCTV, Physical Access control, communications and other Enterprise Physical Security systems.
  • Be responsibile for the management and execution of your allocated PCD jobs - routinely providing updates to team leadership and escalating where required.
  • Undertaken AI and other initiatives to continually evolve the team and program.
  • Support daily operations to include monitoring and reviewing system logs.
  • Stay current with technological developments and make recommendations for ways to take advantage of new and emerging technology.
  • Contribute to technical documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOP) and as builds for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform all duties under direct supervision.
  • Participate in inter-regional "Foreign Exchange" visits with sister teams in USA to share knowledge and drive global team cohesion.
Qualifications
Education:
  • 2+ Years of Experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
  • 6+ Years of Experience with an Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity preferred
  • 8+ Years of Experience with a High School Diploma
Required Progressive Experience:
  • Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system. problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, implementing new workstations, and system extensions.
  • Requires an understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of Windows active directory hierarchy and implementation.
  • Requires a basic knowledge of large scale networking, VLANS and routing.
  • Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
  • Requires the ability to work flexible shifts that include nights, weekends, holidays and on call as needed.
