Job summary

Hiscox in London seeks a senior Syndicate Accounting & Reporting lead to manage the full ledger controllership for three managed syndicates, with close collaboration across actuarial, underwriting, risk and compliance. You will drive regulatory reporting, board papers, and KSIs while overseeing offshore teams.

The role requires AG/ACCA/CIMA qualification, extensive Lloyd's experience, and a proven leadership track record in a global finance function.

Qualifications

• Significant Lloyd's market experience in syndicate accounting and reporting.
• Proven leadership of high-performing teams across locations.
• Experience with IFRS 17 and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ledger accounting for Syndicate, managing Agent and corporate member ledgers.
• Coordinate GL close processes monthly, quarterly, and yearly.
• Produce management reports and analyze BU performance vs forecasts.
• Manage Lloyd's regulatory returns, annual reports and IFRS reporting.
• Ensure timely board reporting and KPI disclosures to governance bodies.
• Lead external/internal reporting improvements and control framework updates.
• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, risk and group finance teams.
