Job summary

Celtic Leisure in Wales is seeking a swimming instructor to deliver lessons in line with the STA teaching plan across all ability levels. You will work with children enrolled in the facility’s swimming programme and provide feedback to parents via Cap2, while maintaining records and supporting the Learn to Swim initiative.

The role requires good literacy and numeracy, a current NPLQ and STA Level qualification (or willingness to obtain), and a commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, and

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy demonstrated and ability to undertake training.
• Experience in swimming instruction and customer interaction.
• Awareness of health & safety and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Cap2 administration and record-keeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of swimming lessons to all ability groups per STA plan.
• Instruct children attending the facility’s programme.
• Provide feedback to parents on lesson performance via Cap2.
• Maintain attendance and progress records in Cap2.
• Assist in supervising academy if NPLQ qualified.
• Ensure equipment is used properly and stored away.
• Promote positive public relations and handle customer queries.
• Maintain high personal appearance and professional image.
• Undertake regular training to keep knowledge up to date.
• Support promotion and marketing of the swimming plan.
• Complete first aid and related documentation as required.
