Job summary

Serco Limited, on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust, seeks a part-time Swimming Coordinator in Syston to lead swimming lessons, manage a team of qualified teachers and drive community engagement. The role involves developing programmes, ensuring high-quality delivery and maintaining strong customer relationships.

The position requires Swim Teacher qualifications and experience in aquatics, with a focus on reporting, teamwork and delivering impactful lessons.

Qualifications

• Swim England Level 2 or STA Level 2 Swim Teacher qualification.
• Experience managing or supervising teams within a leisure or aquatics environment.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trust with customers.
• Experience delivering or managing swimming lesson programmes and working with high customer volumes.
• Confidence using IT systems and producing reports, alongside good communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of Swimming Teachers, including recruitment, rotas, performance and development
• Coordinate and grow the swimming lessons programme, introducing new sessions and courses to meet community needs
• Ensure high-quality delivery of lessons that encourage retention and repeat participation
• Build strong relationships with customers, schools and local partners to support outreach and programme growth
• Monitor performance through reporting and KPIs, using insight to improve customer experience and business performance
• Support operational delivery, including stepping in to teach lessons where required to maintain service levels
