Job summary

Nuffield Health is looking for a friendly Swim Instructor to work at East Kilbride FWC on a bank, part-time basis. Deliver safe, engaging swimming lessons to a diverse customer base using the Swim England framework and your recognised qualifications.

You will lead one-to-one or small group sessions, motivate swimmers of all ages, and be a positive role model with a fun, engaging teaching style. Up to £17 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified swimming instructor with SSTQ Level 7, STA, or Swim England Level 2.
• Confident and approachable with strong communication skills.
• Experience delivering swimming lessons and working with the Swim England framework.
• Enjoy teaching swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage and inspire swimmers of all ages to achieve swimming goals.
• Deliver one-to-one or group swimming lessons.

• Promote memberships by explaining facility advantages.

Up to £17 depending on experience plus benefits

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad‑hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

As a Swim Instructor at one of our fitness and wellbeing sites, you’ll need to have a SSTQ Level 7, STA, or Swim England Level 2 qualification, together with good people skills and a love for all things swimming. At Nuffield Health we have a variety of swimmers of all ages and abilities and run our lessons through the Swim England framework.

You will gain experience of achieving targets and working with colleagues to improve the performance of your lessons.

As a Swim Instructor you will:
