Job summary

Civic is a team of system thinkers in the built environment, delivering sustainable design with a positive legacy. We seek a Structural Design Engineer to join our studio and influence projects with technical expertise and clear communication.

You will work closely with private and public-sector clients, contributing to design, drawings, site visits, and team development in a hybrid studio environment across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineering design and checking of drawings and calculations.
• Preparing, presenting and checking drawings and calculations.
• Briefing Technicians and Graduates on assigned tasks.
• Attending site and project team meetings under the direction of a Senior Engineer/Associate.
• Occasional visits to construction sites for survey/inspection of works.
• Contributing to writing bids and fees proposals.
• On project training and development of junior team members.
• Compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and Practice QMS.
