Civic are seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer to join our Manchester studio. You will work on a range of private and public sector projects, delivering structural design through drawings, calculations and reviews, while guiding junior team members.

We value sustainable design and collaborative problem solving, with hybrid working and ongoing development for chartership and leadership within the studio.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineering design
• Preparing, presenting and checking drawings and calculations
• Briefing Technicians and Graduates on the above
• Attending site and project team meetings under the direction of a Senior Engineer/Associate
• Occasional visits to construction sites for survey/ inspection of works
• Internal reviews/ critiques
• Contributing to writing bids and fees proposals
• On project training
• Compliance with the duties of Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015
• Compliance with the Practice QMS
