Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer for our Manchester team. You will design and specify heating, cooling, ventilation and public health systems, and perform detailed calculations to support high-quality project delivery.

You will work with BIM teams, contribute to technical discussions, and engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure schedule and budget compliance while promoting energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience delivering mechanical building services design with sustainability focus.
• Proficient in industry tools and BIM collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify mechanical building services from concept to detailed design.
• Perform engineering calculations using Excel, IES, Hevacomp, and MEPworx.
• Prepare technical specs, reports and presentations for project delivery.
• Collaborate with BIM teams to develop coordinated models and drawings (Revit).
• Participate in client and stakeholder meetings for project coordination.
