Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in London is seeking a motivated Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our national delivery team. You will design mechanical systems, perform calculations, and collaborate with BIM specialists to deliver high-performing buildings across sectors.

The role offers exposure to diverse projects and client engagement, with development plans and a supportive team culture to progress within the practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
• Working towards Chartered Membership of CIBSE/IMechE or equivalent.
• Experience with IES, Hevacomp, StabiCAD, Revit, NBS and Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design and specification of mechanical building services (heating, cooling, ventilation, public health).
• Carry out calculations using industry software (Excel, IES, Hevacomp, MEPworx).
• Prepare specifications, reports and presentations for project delivery.
• Collaborate with BIM team to develop models/drawings (Revit).
• Represent AtkinsRéalis at client meetings and with professionals.
• Conduct condition surveys and monitor installation/commissioning.
• Manage workload and deliver quality work on time and budget.
• Support knowledge sharing and mentor junior staff.
