Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a brand new, and truly major public sector contract.

The client is a major government customer, possessing an extensive national estate of offices and corporate facilities. The employer is looking to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the client's estate is well maintained.

You will work within a team matrix structure, managing key stakeholder relationships, including customer contacts, contractors, and the wider Account team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability professional to develop within one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the delivery of sustainability services according to the contract specification.
• Developing and driving the Sustainability Management Plan, monitoring progress, promoting achievements, and ensuring timely reporting.
• Engaging with the employee champions network.
• Setting annual environmental objectives and targets.
• Establishing a governance framework and engaging with senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant and updated.
• Implementing a digital approach to CSR and sustainability reporting across the portfolio.
• Validating carbon data for reporting and publication, monitoring performance, and seeking external certification.
• Collaborating with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents such as the Sustainability Improvement Plan, Carbon Reduction Plan, and Biodiversity Net Gain.
• Designing reporting and assurance processes for sustainability, supporting other departments with their objectives.
• Working with the wider Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risks and priorities, including data collection and site visits.

Requirements from you:

• Proven sustainability experience within delivery roles and knowledge of ISO standards.
• Experience working in a complex matrix team structure is preferred.
