Job summary

TwoScore - HSEQ Recruitment is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and deliver the project’s sustainability strategy on major civil construction programmes in the UK.

You will drive carbon reduction, waste management and resource efficiency, ensure compliance with environmental legislation and permitting, and work with delivery teams and supply chains to embed sustainable methods.

Strong stakeholder management, reporting, and a relevant degree are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading sustainability or environmental management on civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability principles, ESG objectives, carbon management and environmental compliance.
• Experience developing and delivering sustainability strategies on large-scale projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and reporting skills.
• Relevant degree or professional qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the project's sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practice.
• Monitor and report on sustainability performance, including carbon reduction, waste management, and resource efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and project sustainability commitments.
• Collaborate with project teams and supply chain partners to embed sustainable construction methods throughout delivery.
• Drive social value, environmental improvement, and continuous sustainability initiatives across the project.
