Job summary

River Island Clothing Co., Ltd. is seeking a Product Sustainability Analyst to fuse data analytics with sustainable product development.

You will collect, validate, and analyse sustainability data across the product lifecycle, driving improvements in environmental performance and informing sourcing decisions. Based at our West London Head Office, you will design dashboards, automate reports, and communicate insights to cross-functional teams and suppliers to advance River Island's sustainability

Qualifications

• Strong background in data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and reporting.
• Background in sustainability with an understanding of sustainable product and retail work methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead data collection and analysis to support sustainability performance and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track progress across key sustainability areas including supply chain transparency, human rights, carbon emissions, water usage, materials, fabrics and packaging data.
• Ensure data quality through regular assessments, improving data integrity and reporting techniques.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain dashboards and progress against targets; work with buying teams and suppliers to identify risks and opportunities and support improvement actions.
• Monitor regulatory requirements (e.g., EPR, Waste, EUDR, CBAM) and assist the business in compliance and tax calculations.
• Support engagement with partners such as BCI, ZDHC and help determine priorities and actions for River Island.
• Train and support suppliers in sustainability data collection and reporting processes aligning them with sustainability and supplier strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sustainability goals with business strategy and deliver data in various formats across the business and supply chain.
