Job summary

The Sustainability Analyst will join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) to support Sizewell C's environmental performance. You will manage, analyse and report ESG data across the programme, collaborating with operations, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure compliance and drive improvements.

Working within the ESG team, you will produce high-quality sustainability reports, dashboards and audits support, while identifying opportunities to reduce impacts and improve resource efficiency on site.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data management and analysis.
  • Strong data literacy to work with complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of environmental management in construction or infrastructure.
  • Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Management.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, PAS 2080, GHG Protocol, SBTi, ISO 14067, ISO 20400.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse environmental and sustainability data to support project performance and compliance.
  • Coordinate collection and reporting of key environmental metrics including carbon, water, materials, inspections and incidents.
  • Maintain reporting tools, trackers and performance dashboards.
  • Support sustainability reporting requirements across the supply chain and project teams.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts, improve resource efficiency and drive innovation.
  • Produce high-quality sustainability reports and communications.
  • Support audits, assurance activities and environmental management system implementation.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to champion sustainability across the project.

Sustainability Analyst Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will within the Enabling and Earthwork Section.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Analyst to join the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) on the landmark Sizewell C project.

As a key member of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, you will play a vital role in managing, analysing and reporting environmental and sustainability data across a complex infrastructure programme. Working closely with operational teams, suppliers and project stakeholders, you'll help ensure environmental compliance, drive continual improvement and support innovative sustainable solutions on site.

What are we looking for?
Essential Requirements
  • Practical experience in data management and analysis
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to work confidently with complex datasets
  • Knowledge of environmental management and sustainability within a construction, engineering or infrastructure environment
  • Degree qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Understanding of sustainability and environmental standards such as:
    • ISO 14001
    • PAS 2080
    • GHG Protocol
    • SBTi
    • ISO 14067
    • ISO 20400
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Understanding of the utilities, construction or engineering sector
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site when required. DF]
Desirable
  • Experience using sustainability reporting platforms such as SmartWaste
  • Knowledge of Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs)
  • ISEP Practitioner Membership or working towards professional accreditation.
