Job summary

YO! Sushi is seeking a passionate kitchen team member in the UK to roll sushi, assist across stations, and maintain top hygiene and safety standards. You will support food preparation, work in a fast-paced environment, and participate in training to uphold YO! quality and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates thrive in team settings, handle pressure well, and enjoy working with fresh ingredients to deliver consistently high-standard dishes across sushi, hot, and prep areas.

Qualifications

• A passion for great food
• Competent in all areas of the kitchen including food prep and cleaning
• Good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen per Health and Safety rules
• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a QSR environment
• Monitor stock levels to minimise waste
• Assist with setup, handover and closing of workstations each shift
• Complete training to maintain a safe environment for team and guests
• Understand product specs to deliver high standards
• Roll sushi, work the pass, handle hot section, prep raw products safely
• Be a team player across the YO! team
• Stay informed on YO! updates via YO! 360, Team Meetings and Briefs

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook sushi and other menu items
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen
• Support with setup, maintenance, and close-down of workstations
• Work across multiple stations including sushi, hot section and pass
• Adhere to food safety protocols and YO! Trail app requirements
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality dishes on time
