Job summary

YO! Sushi in Gateshead is hiring for a full-time kitchen role at the Metro Centre. You will handle sushi prep, pass work, hot section duties, and raw product preparation while keeping a clean, safe kitchen and adhering to Food Safety standards.

You will track deliveries, wastage and temperatures, and help set up and close down stations each shift. We value ambition, a passion for great food, and teamwork. Expect to work in a fast-paced environment with strong collaboration across the YO!

Responsibilities

• Roll sushi, pass work, hot section, prep raw products and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment per Food Safety protocol.
• Record deliveries, wastage and temperature checks daily.
• Set up, maintain, handover and close down workstations per shift.
• Complete training to stay aware of safe environment for team and guests.
• Work as part of the YO! team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
