Job summary

The Ivy Asia is seeking a dedicated Sushi Chef to prepare and assemble sushi, nigiri, sashimi and related dishes to the highest standards. You will work in a fast-paced, open sushi bar, ensuring precision, creativity and consistency across every plate.

Experience with traditional and contemporary sushi techniques is essential, with a focus on quality, knife skills and calm professionalism in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in high-volume settings.
• Strong knife skills and traditional techniques.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Knowledge of sushi ingredients, sourcing and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi and other sushi dishes.
• Ensure highest standards of quality, flavour, and presentation.
• Manage inventory of sushi ingredients and supplies, coordinate orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station and knives.
• Uphold sushi-making techniques and standards.
