Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst to perform surveying and analytical duties across Birmingham and surrounding areas. The role involves independent work and collaboration with an experienced technical team to deliver high-quality services in line with HSG264/HSG248 and current UK legislation.

Applicants should hold BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications and possess a full UK driving licence, with prior asbestos surveying experience highly valued.

Qualifications

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications are essential.
• Experience as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst is required.
• Strong knowledge of HSG264, HSG248 and current asbestos legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys per HSG264.
• Perform air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak and smoke testing per HSG248.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports.
• Conduct bulk asbestos sampling across various property sectors.
• Manage workload across multiple client sites efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and internal teams professionally.
• Ensure all work complies with asbestos legislation, HSE guidance and UKAS procedures.

Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor Analyst

Location: Birmingham

THE ROLE

As an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst, you will undertake both asbestos surveying and analytical duties across a range of client sites throughout Birmingham and the surrounding region.

Working independently and alongside an experienced technical team, the Asbestos Surveyor Analyst will deliver high-quality surveying and analytical services while ensuring full compliance with HSG264, HSG248, current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carrying out Management and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) asbestos surveys in accordance with HSG264
• Undertaking air monitoring, four-stage clearances, reassurance testing, leak testing, and smoke testing in accordance with HSG248
• Producing accurate and compliant asbestos survey and analytical reports
• Conducting bulk asbestos sampling across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and public sector properties
• Managing your own workload efficiently across multiple client sites
• Liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Ensuring all work complies with current asbestos legislation, HSE guidance, and UKAS procedures

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BOHS P402, P403 and P404 qualifications (essential)
• Previous experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor Analyst
• Strong understanding of HSG264, HSG248, and current asbestos legislation
• Experience working within a UKAS-accredited consultancy is desirable
• Full UK driving licence
• Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills
• Professional, reliable, and quality-focused approach to work
